The salicylic acid found in meadowsweet is also a well-known disinfectant that has been used to treat various skin conditions including psoriasis, eczema and acne while meadowsweet is also considered to be a urinary antiseptic. Meadowsweet is also renowned for its ability to ease pain and soothe fevers. A small quantity of the plant’s root may be very effective in treating migraines and headaches.
