Hydroxyethyl Urea is a synthetic ingredient that serves to hydrate skin and help maintain a normal moisture balance in skin’s uppermost layers. It is a moisturizing agent that offers excellent moisturization efficacy and skin elasticity. It significantly improves sensory skin feel compared to key benchmarks, and can be used in skin care products without imparting stickiness or tackiness to the formulation. Consequently, little or no addition of aesthetic modifiers is required to improve final skin feel.

FORMULATION GUIDELINES
Hydroxyethyl Urea is easily incorporated into water, or the water phase of an emulsion, at ambient or elevated temperature conditions.
If needed, pH stabilization can be achieved by incorporating:
